Zhongnan is the first private enterprise in Jiangsu Province to set up a charitable foundation. It has donated more than RMB800 million in donating money for education, earthquake relief, poverty alleviation and hometown public welfare.
As the largest taxpayer in Nantong, Zhongnan has made outstanding contributions to the prosperity of the local economy in the past 33 years, solving employment problem for more than 80,000 people directly and 150,000 people indirectly.
Zhongnan has won the title of Top Ten Charitable Enterprises in China for many consecutive years, as well as the China Charity Award for Outstanding Contributions (Unit), the China CSR Excellence Award, the title of Top Ten Caring Enterprises of the Year, the Award for Excellent Fund Project of the Year, and the Annual Award for Love Dedication.
On Oct. 28, 2014, Hurun Research Institute released the “2014 Hurun Charity List”. Chen Jinshi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zhongnan Group, set a new record by making into the list for the first time together with the richest man Ma Yun and former Premier Zhu Rongji, ranking the 34th.
